Dr. Sarah born in Kingston upon Thames U.K. Dr. Sarah graduated from Royal London in 1989. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to providing first class general dental care for her patients. In 1994 she opened her first solo clinic in Doha. Her successful clinic expanded into Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre in 2004. In 2010 the second branch opened, the British International Dental Centre in Salam Tower overlooking the corniche. Her vision and commitment are to dental excellence and customer satisfaction.

Her dental philosophy is highly prevention focused with minimal intervention. Most dental diseases are preventable. Early diagnosis saves teeth and tooth structure. She is also education focused supporting Community Health programmes for schools in Doha as well as the continuing education of all the members of the British International Dental Centre. She has valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) PLS (Paediatric Life Support) and Radiation License which are regularly updated.

Dr. Fady Alian was born in Birmingham, England and is a British citizen of Egyptian origin. He is fluent in English and Arabic. He joined Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre in 2008.

Dr. Fady is specialized in providing root canal treatments and complex restorative procedures. He is experienced in the most advanced techniques including operating microscope and 3D printed restorations with a postgraduate Master Course in Clinical and Surgical Microendodontics. He is a Consultant in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh ( UK) with over 20 years of clinical experience, an assistant professor of Endodontics with over ten years of academic and teaching experience in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He has a valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) and radiation license which are regularly updated.

Dr. Fady Alian is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, Egyptian Association of Endodontics and the Egyptian Dental Association. He has a valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) and radiation license which are regularly updated.

Dr. Fady Alian is the Regional Consultant for Special Olympics International for North Africa and the Middle East.

Dr. Thomas C. Kappen is an internationally known orthodontist with qualifications from three different continents (Asia, North America and Europe). He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) from India. After teaching in various universities, he moved to USA and completed Master of Science in Dentistry (MS) in Orthodontics from Saint Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri, USA. While in USA he worked at The Herbert Hoover Dental Clinic, St. Louis, Missouri. He later moved to Doha, Qatar to work at Hamad Medical Corporation. Later on he worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Hail Dental Centre, Hail and at King Fahd Military Medical Complex, Dhahran. After Saudi Arabia, he moved to Doha, Qatar to work at Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre.

Dr. Kappen, received the Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MOrthRCSEd), UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (FRSM), UK. He was American Board of Orthodontics certified from 2005 to 2010. He has publications in various dental journals, and has made presentations and lectures at various conferences. He has participated in numerous courses and conferences. He has about 18 years of experience in orthodontics and treats both adults and children. He uses the latest techniques including Invisible Aligners, Damon Braces, Lingual Braces, micro implants, etc. Dr. Kappen has received many awards and honors including the International College of Dentists award.

Dr. Nafeh Fansa was born in 1979 in Aleppo, Syria. He graduated from dental school at the University of Aleppo in 2002. Dr. Nafeh is specialised in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Paris VII & University of Rennes I in France; he obtained his Postgraduate diploma of Paediatric Dentistry ( DU CES GERPSP), and in 2012, he received one in Pediatric Orthodontics from the University of Bourgogne in France.

Before joining the British International Dental Centre in 2011 he worked in Saudi Arabia for 4.5 years.

Dr Nafeh is fluent in Arabic, French and English.

His specialisation is in Paediatric Dentistry which gives him the ability to treat children efficiently in a fun and comfortable way to break the barrier of fear, and build trust and confidence between the child and Dr Nafeh. Parents are welcome to accompany their child at all stages of their treatment. Dr. Nafeh's philosophy is to give special attention for prevention of dental caries by using the latest dental techniques. He has also done some teaching at Sidra Doha.

Consultant Orthodontist

Dr Yaser is a Canadian Orthodontist of Syrian descent who has lived in the UK, Canada and United Arab Emirates. Fluent in arabic and english.

He qualified as a Dentist from the University of Sharjah (UAE) and went on to obtain membership in General Dentistry as well as a MSc in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.

Dr. Yaser obtained his Master in Orthodontics from London,UK and has the membership in Orthodontics from Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (voted as the best European dental school and second best in the world according to 2018 rankings). He pursued his passion and skill in Orthodontics and worked at the largest NHS teaching hospital in central London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and accomplished membership at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthodontics. With an increased knowledge and experience in Orthodontics, came a wish to teach and Dr Yaser has been fortunate enough to provide this to Dentists in UK and United Arab Emirates

Dr Yaser is committed to providing the most beautiful smiles and is an expert in delivering individually tailored, holistic care. He has had a varied and rewarding career and is able to provide all forms of conventional Orthodontics as well as latest cutting edge techniques. Dr. Housam was born and brought up in Syria in 1976. He is fluent in English and Arabic.

Before joining Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre in 2009 Dr. Housam worked in Saudi Arabia for 4 years in King Fahad Hospital (2005 – 2007).

He graduated from Damascus University in 1999(D.D.S) and received his masters degree in 2004 from Syria. Dr. Housam is an Oral Surgeon, with a license to practice his speciality in both Qatar and Saudi Arabia .

He provides consultations and treatment for impacted or broken teeth and places implants. He can also do bone grafts. His dental philosophy is to work efficiently and safely using the latest available technology to improve healing.

Currently he is a member of the Syrian Dental Association. He has a valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) and radiation license which are regularly updated.

He is married and has two gorgeous sons.

Dr. Sushil was born and brought up in India. He is fluent in English and Hindi. He graduated from the Dr. M.G.R. Medical University Madras, India in 1994 and worked as the duty dental surgeon for the dental casualty service at Government Medical college Kottayam, India in 1997. He had a private practice in India before coming to the Middle East. He has a valid ILS (Immediate Life Support) and radiation license which are regularly updated.

He is a general dentist and our RPO (Radiation Protection Officer) with over 20 years of dental experience and joined Dr. Sarah’s Specialist Dental Centre in 2004 after 2 years of private practice in the Sultanate of Oman. He is member of the American Dental Association. Hobbies include travelling, reading, listening to music.

Dr. Raiha Rashid graduated from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,India in October,2001. After completing 1 year as a house officer in 2003,she joined private practice in India. Dr. Raiha has over 15 years dental experience. She joined British International Dental Centre in May 2010. Dr Ammar is a General Dentist with over 15 years of experience and enthusiasm in all aspects of dentistry. He is fluent in Arabic, English and Norwegian. He has extra skills to help those with dental phobia.

He started his journey from Palestine, where he finished his first dental degree and worked as a dentist. In Norway he joined the University of Bergen to obtain his dental degree the Norwegian Master of Dentistry. He worked in Norway until joining the British International Dental Centre in 2022.

Dr Ammar is passionate about dental excellence and self-development. He constantly updates his knowledge with further diplomas and degrees.

Dr Ammar has 3 dental licenses: from Norway, Sweden and Palestine.

He is a member of The Norwegian Dental Association and the Norwegian Association for patients with dental anxiety. 

Dr. Neelma was born and brought up in Berkshire, England. She qualified as a dentist, from Barts and the London in 2010. She worked in general practice for a few years and completed many restorative courses before realising her passion for prosthodontics. 

Dr. Neelma is able to offer specialist treatment with regards to composite bonding, crowns, bridges, dentures and the restoration of implants. She joined The British International Dental Centre in 2023. Since specializing Dr Neelma has managed a wide variety of specialist restorative cases involving missing teeth, tooth wear, aesthetic cases and trauma. The treatments range from conventional dentures to a full mouth rehabilitation. 

Dr. Neelma advanced her skills in the field of fixed and removable prosthodontics and embarked on a four-year Prosthodontics specialist training programme at Guys Dental Hospital, in London. In 2018 she was awarded a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics (MClinDent Pros), followed by the Membership in Prosthodontics (MPros) Royal College of Surgeons. These are the highest formal qualifications available for the Prosthodontics specialty. 

Following this training, Dr. Neelma acquired a position on the General Dental Council’s specialist register. She has worked, as a specialist, within a private practice and a hospital in Portsmouth, UK. 

Dr Ismail graduated from the University of Manchester in 2019. He since gained wide ranging experience and expertise in general dentistry in the UK, before joining British International Dental Centre.

Dr Ismail is highly professional, with a friendly and calming chairside manner that creates an optimal environment for a positive patient experience. He is highly skilled in all aspects of general dentistry, from pain free dental extractions to fillings and tooth whitening. Dr Ismail also has a keen interest in minimally invasive cosmetic restorative treatments to enhance a patients smile and improve self confidence.

Aside from dentistry Dr Ismail most enjoys spending quality time with his wife and young children. He also loves both playing and watching football and is a Manchester United fan
